Bruno Liebhaberg is the Director General of the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE), a European think tank founded in 2010 at his initiative. CERRE brings together close to fifty university centres, regulatory authorities and operators and infrastructure managers active in network industries, such as the energy, digital and transport sectors. Professor Liebhaberg teaches at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

He started his career as a European Commission trade official, involved in GATT (now WTO) negotiations, and became subsequently a member of the private office of former European Commission President Jacques Delors, whom he advised on policy aspects relating to industrial affairs.

Bruno Liebhaberg has an MA in Management Sciences from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, ULB and Ph.D in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
