Zsuzsanna Széles is a gas policy officer at the European Commission's DG Energy (Unit B.2: Wholesale markets; electricity & gas), where she is in charge of policies related to the EU gas market design and regulatory cooperation, and coordinates work related to the future of gas in Europe, such as the Quo Vadis study.

She has more than 8 years' experience in Brussels with the Commission and the Council of European Energy Regulators. She was involved in the implementation of the Third Energy Package on the EU internal energy market and in the establishment of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators.

From 2012 to 2014 she worked in Vienna as a gas expert for the Austrian energy regulator E-Control. She participated in particular in the update of the regulatory Gas Target Model.

She has a college degree in economics from Hungary and a university degree in political sciences from the Ludwig-Maximilian University (Germany).
